Avenue of Flags

Each Memorial Day weekend, a group of volunteers erect flags at the local cemeteries to honor those
who have served in the armed forces. It is hard work; poles have to be erected, flags and memorial
markers hung. At the end, all must be taken down and put in storage for another year.
For everyone who helps set up the Avenue of Flags, for everyone who helps mend and repair flags or
donates funds for new ones, for those who take down the display and put it back in storage; Thank
You! The Avenue of Flags is a beautiful site to behold, and your efforts are truly appreciated.
And especially, thanks to all who served their country, during peacetime and wartime both, so we can
enjoy the freedoms to live as we choose. God bless you.
