After 8 years, I have chosen not to seek re-election to the City Council.  Tonight, April 17, 2012, was my
last Council Meeting.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me during my time in office.  I hope that I have made some
positive changes in how City Government serves you.  I hope that I have made City Government more
transparent, and more receptive to listening to the voice of the people.

Who is "The City"?    
"It's not the Mayors, the Council Members, or the Commissioners who make up the
municipal corporation, nor is it the City's Government, it's officers, or it's employees. A
municipal corporation would continue to exist without any of these persons.  The
people are, in fact, the political body. They comprise the corporate units which forms
the organized society.  The people act as a political entity, by and through their elected
and appointed officials."
